2006 OHS Garden Tours: Bill Collins and Kate Harrigan's Garden June 18, 2006

Bill Collins and Kate Harrigan's garden

Follow the interlocking brick through an entrance filled with tropical house plants (including 14 foot Araucaria) to a two_tiered garden with over 300 varieties of perennials. The upper level gives a breathtaking view of this songbird garden, with luscious grassy stairs that spill down into the lower level, while the manicured turf winds past a curving rock garden, six intertwined sculpted beds, and a dry stream bed of river rock.

Thanks to Angela Snowdon for these pictures and to Bill Collins and Kate Harrigan for opening her garden to OHS members.

Looking from the top down through the arbour to the rock garden and shaded seating area. Hanging baskets suspended from cedar trees create a tropical look.
