2006 OHS Garden Tours: Virginia Peck's Garden May 7, 2006

Mrs. Virginia Peck’s Garden

Mrs. Peck has tended and nurtured her extraordinary garden since 1939. What started as an empty lot between adjoining houses became an intriguingly-shaped garden (all triangles!) with an impressive collection of native Canadian plants. Trillium, Jack-in-the-pulpit, bloodroot, lady’s slipper and other native perennials, shrubs and trees abound, and many will be in bloom in May. Mrs. Peck is the 2005 inaugural winner of the OHS Mary Bryant Native Plant Garden Award.

Thanks to Angela Snowdon for these pictures and to Virginia Peck for opening her garden to OHS members.
