2007 Garden Tours - Irises in Sandy Ives' and Maureen Mark's Garden - May 24, 2007

Thanks to Angela Snowdon for these photos.

Iris Extravaganza!

Maureen Mark and Sandy Ives spoke to the OHS on April 24 about one of their passions - irises. To complement the talk, they invited us to explore the variety and beauty of the iris world by opening their garden at intervals during the iris season. The dates of the tours were chosen to coincide approximately with the bloom times of the various iris types.

Sandy has repeatedly told me that he's not a gardener, he's a collector. And, what a collection!  The selection of irises featured showcases the wide-range of colour and form of this truly magnificent flower.

All the irises shown are miniature dwarfs with the exception of "Double your Fun" which is an Intermediate rebloomer.
