2007 Garden Tours - July 29, 2007

Thanks to Angela Snowdon for these photos.

Country Gardens Tour

- Sunday, July 29th, 12 am - 5 pm

A tour of three very different country gardens west of Ottawa. All three invited visitors to picnic if they wish, and Reilly’s Gardens has outdoor toilet facilities. (Note -The gardens are also part of the spring Red Trillium Studio Tour; see www.redtrilliumst.com for details.)

Joan McNab

This master gardener has her hands full with a 2 ˝ acre garden with conditions from intense sun to deep shade, as well as a rock garden and pond.

John and Lynda Soper

One of the 'Great Gardens to Visit in Ontario', this garden features woodland with paths to several ponds, as well as a variety of flower beds and rock gardens. Lynda's ceramic creations add whimsy throughout the garden.

Reilly's Country Gardens

In late July, the ˝ acre garden will feature ornamental grasses, echinaceas, heleniums, sedums and veronicas, and the plants in and around the pond will have matured into a lush, subtropical mini-paradise for resident birds, frogs and goldfish. As a bonus, most of what you'll see will be available from the adjacent nursery. Visit the 'Gallery of Grasses' at www.rcgardens.ca for a preview.
