2007 Garden Tours - Peonies in Mary Pratte's Garden - June, 2007

Thanks to Angela Snowdon for these photos. Thanks to Mary Pratte for opening her garden for a tour.

Peonies Plus Tour

Thursday, June 14th, 2007, 5-8 pm

Mary Pratte’s garden features a 100 ft-long main border, small woodland and rock gardens, a stone terrace around a pool, and a pergola and containers on the deck. And in mid-June, the garden is a glory of peonies - as is only fitting for this peony expert and past President of the Canadian Peony Society.

Itoh peonies    Itoh peonies are a cross between herbaceous peonies (die back in the fall), and tree peonies.  Itoh peonies have the flowers and leaves of a tree peony.
'Garden Treasure' and 'Hillary' (see below) are Itoh peonies.
