OHS Garden Tour

Wednesday, July 8th 2009, 5 pm - 8 pm

Anne Malo

The front garden, intended to be low maintenance, is small and occupied by a large oak tree, making half the garden shade and the other half sunlit almost the whole day. Nevertheless it presents a cohesive and complementary whole through the choice of plants, shrubs and other materials. The backyard garden is a work in progress - extremely narrow and quite deep, it divides into three distinct areas - a small patio that sits in full sunlight, a 'hallway' along the garage that remains shady, and a larger rectangular room beyond the garage. Plans for the area yet to be landscaped include a small pond and butterfly garden.
