Algonquin College School of Horticulture Gardens

1385 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa

These impressive gardens cover approximately four acres and contain tagged collections of both woody and herbaceous plants, with especially impressive evergreens. Over the past 16 years in a working lab situation students have used the gardens to learn how to plant and maintain plant collections and how to build all the common elements of residential landscaping – pergola, pools, paths, retaining walls, etc. A nursery grows plants for display and sale. The gardens are accessed from Woodroffe Avenue and are located on your right as you enter the college grounds. Parking is free after 5:00 p.m. in Lots 8 and 9. Pay parking is available in a lot straight ahead from the main road into the campus.
