Trillium Award

The Trillium Award was established by the Ottawa Horticultural Society in 1967, in honour of Canada’s centennial year.

Each year, recognition is given to Ottawa citizens living in a pre-selected, specific postal code, who maintain a beautiful front garden from spring through fall. The committee visits each garden once during each of the three seasons and looks for, among many elements, the variety of plant material, balance, context, and dare we say, neatness and lack of weeds.

This year's postal code was K1Z and the committee, consisting of Nathalie Chaly and Sylvia Spasoff, chose the garden of Jodi Warman-Chardon of 473 Highcroft Ave. and Erika Stolpmann of 473 Hilson Ave. as the winners of the Trillium Award.
