OHS Friends of the Farm Rare and Unusual Plant Sale, May 14, 2006

The plant sale at the Friends of the Farm Rare & Unusual Plant Sale raised about $2033 for the OHS! This is a record breaking total for this sale and will help us keep our budget balanced in the face of rising costs of meeting rooms, dues and insurance over last year.

Many thanks to Nathalie Chaly, who organized the potting, labelling and transporting of donated plants to the site with her team of volunteers, and Laurel Lemchuk-Favel who coordinated the day of the sale itself and the sales team. A truly excellent result especially considering that the volunteers often worked in far from pleasant weather to say the least.

We'd like to thank the donors of plants. Without donated plants our sales would fail. Thank you to the OHS members who gave from their gardens.
