  • Arboretum and Ornamental Gardens of the Central Experimental Farm. In Winter visit the tropical greenhouse on maple lane.
  • Walk through the tropical garden inside the Bank Of Canada building, Sparks St. Entrance at Bank St.
  • Canada's largest colony of Showy Ladys' Slipper Orchids The Purdon Bog, Lanark County.
  • Beechwood cemetery
  • Canadian Musuem of Civilisation - Japanese Garden located on the roof of the Eastern part of the museum.
  • Petrie Island Orleans
  • Pinhey's Point West Ottawa
  • Alfred bog - a dome peat bog ecosystem.
  • Algonquin College - 2 acre landscape garden south of College avenue (Woodroffe Campus) Featuring: peonies - including a number of wild species hard to see elsewhere, iris and other herbaceous plants.  Good collection of trees and big collection of dwarf conifers.
  • Richelieu Forest - located beside the former city of Vanier's city hall. The only sugar bush in Canada located in the middle of an urban area.
  • Maplelawn Historic Walled Garden in West end Ottawa
  • Merivale Millennium Garden - Merivale United Church 1876 Merivale Road (just south of Hunt Club West)
  • Bloedow Iris Garden, 102 Harry MacKay Rd (North end of Stonecrest Rd) West Carleton. 613-832-2227 Many different bearded irisis of all heights covering 1 acre. Call ahead for hours of operation.
  • Mary Ann’s Garden. Under development. 306 Cyr in Vanier.
