The President's Message

THE programme which has been planned for our meetings this year includes, as far as possible, subjects which many of you suggested at last year's Annual Meeting, when you answered a questionnaire regarding Society activities.

Your suggestions and comments are very much appreciated by your Directors and it is hoped that you will follow these up by your active participation in the series of events which have been planned.

A large majority of those expressing an opinion, preferred the arrangement of varying the days on which meetings are held and this was done.

The one thing for which there was an almost unanimous request, was the question and answer period at meetings and these are planned.

There is one significant change in the Tulip Show this year. Instead of being held at the City Hall, it will be staged in the McElroy Building, Lansdowne Park, in connection with the International Festival of Flowers of the Canadian Tulip Festival.

Because of the much greater number of people who will see our Show there and because of other attractions, this is quite a challenge. We hope that all members who can, will enter the Show and demonstrate the quality of blooms and artistry of showing which is typical of our Society at its best.

And remember our goal for the year; attend every meeting you can, bringing along a friend whenever possible. Every friend who has a garden is a potential member and members mean health and life to the Society.

President.
