2005 Trillium Awards Page 4 - Adelaide St.

8 Adelaide. Honourable Mention

The gardener has consistently throughout three seasons used the colours of her house to determine the plants that she uses in her garden. The rosy brick of the house, and deeper rose window trim always had reflective plant elements in the garden. The many grey-green and silvery foliaged plants mirrored the grey and grey green colours of the front step and the terracing timbers, the same colours as the stone window lintels and the front gable end of the house. The shapes, textures and varying sizes of the plants created visual interest throughout the year.
