President's Message - 1994

Yearbook 1994 page 1

OHS Yearbook 1994

President's Message December 1993

One of the pleasures enjoyed by the President of the Society is meeting interesting people. In my two years as President I have had the privilege of working with excellent people. We are proud of the growth of the Society, the broadening of its program and the continued development of the organization. It is not considered good politics to admit mistakes, but apparently some wise man has said that the only person who has never made a mistake is a person who has never done anything. We are endeavouring to learn by ours!

Someone else has said that nothing fails like success. We must make changes, in other words. We must continue to improve even our most successful ventures and we must progress with the times.

We have covered a lot of ground in the last few years (and I am not referring to the field trips - nor to the chickweed in the garden). I am pleased to have the opportunity to wish the new Board well and to thank, on your behalf, the outgoing directors for their support, guidance and work during my term as President. It has been a great pleasure.
